Alisson names club where he will end his career – not Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has commented on his future, expressing a desire to return to his homeland.

“I was never the kind of person to plan too far ahead. Of course, right now I have one year left on my contract and another year as a club option, which they’ll probably activate.

“This is a crucial moment in my career because the World Cup is approaching. I want to stay very focused and avoid distractions from external factors,” said Alisson.

When asked about a possible return to a Brazilian club, following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Neymar and Thiago Silva, Alisson responded:

“I’ve talked to athletes who made that choice – some had positive experiences, others not so much. Everyone has their own journey, but I want to return, especially to Internacional. I don’t know when exactly, but I want to do it while I’m still performing at a high level. That’s something I’ve planned,” Alisson told TuttoMercatoWeb.

Alisson, now 32, began his football career at Internacional, which eventually led to his move to Europe – first with AS Roma, then Liverpool.
