Willie Stevenson was part of Liverpool’s all-conquering team of the 1960s
Former Liverpool midfielder Willie Stevenson has died at the age of 85, the club announced on Tuesday evening.

Stevenson joined Liverpool from Rangers, where he won the league in his first season and the Scottish Cup in his second.
He left Liverpool in 1967 after five years at the club and moved to Stoke. The Midlands-based club also paid tribute to Stevenson, writing on X: ‘The Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former player Willie Stevenson, who featured on more than 100 occasions for the Potters between 1967 and 1973.
‘Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Willie’s family and friends.’
