Get Jurgen Klopp’ – Premier League giants told to make a move for Liverpool legend

Written by NBA WILLIAMSON

Arsenal legend and talkSPORT pundit Martin Keown has suggested that Manchester United should consider replacing current manager Ruben Amorim with former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, following one of the club’s most disappointing seasons in recent history.

The Red Devils finished the Premier League season in 15th positions and also lost the Europa League final against Tottenham.

They endured the most difficult season in recent history and Amorim found it difficult to deal with the pressure of the job at Old Trafford.

Keown expressed concerns over Amorim’s suitability for the role.

‘I’m still concerned that maybe this isn’t the right manager for Manchester United,’ Keown said on talkSPORT.

‘Just look at the number of games they’ve lost.

‘It’s going to be a very interesting start to next season for them but they could do a lot worse than go and get Jurgen Klopp to manage their football club.

‘I’m not trying to sensationalise. I believe he could do an incredible job there and I believe they need somebody with more experience than the current manager.’

Klopp has enjoyed a successful career as a football manager, particularly at Liverpool, where he won the Premier League and the Champions League titles.

He completely changed the standards at Liverpool and improved them and made them title challengers from being a midtable club.

Keown believes that Klopp’s experience and transformative track record could be exactly what Man United need to return to their former glory.

Fans and pundits are divided over the job Amorim has done at the club so far. While he has struggled to make an impact, there is a feeling that he deserves to get more time at the club to prove himself.

This is the first summer transfer window that he is going to get at the club and there is no better time to make changes to the team than ahead of the new season.

This summer is going to be crucial for the Red Devils and could set the tone for their next few seasons.

The former Liverpool boss has been previously linked with a move to Real Madrid as well as the Brazilian national team.
