Darwin Nunez has struggled to make a consistent impact at Liverpool under Arne Slot, with the forward seeing limited chances and failing to pose a reliable goal threat.
Despite working hard defensively, the striker’s offensive contributions have dwindled, with just two Premier League goals compared to three yellow cards and nearly as many fouls (15) as shots (16).
The 25-year-old’s reduced opportunities make missed chances even more glaring, highlighting his lack of involvement in key attacking moments.
The Dutchman’s tactical system appears to focus more on team structure than fully utilising Nunez’s attacking instincts, effectively limiting his influence in the final third.

While this isn’t a criticism of Slot, who is working with the resources available, it raises questions about how to get the best out of a player with Nunez’s potential.
How much more time can you give a professional to achieve his objectives and set targets? It isn’t working out for Liverpool and Nunez given the time he has had to prove his worth. LFC obviously, isn’t getting a ROI. LFC must sell Nunez and use the money to bring in a # 9 that will score goals and relieve the pressure current being placed on the back four and the goalkeeper (and Salah) to win games for LFC. Nunez is offloading his expected outcome to other players to achieve which is dangerous in terms of overworking team mates who will become prone to burnout and injuries. Sell Nunez now and buy a good # 9
If we don’t win the league this season it will be a big shame for me
