Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are reportedly eager to sign new contracts with Liverpool, but so far, no agreement has been reached.

According to Sky Sports’ Melissa Reddy, both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are desperate to stay at Liverpool and sign new contracts with the club.

This is a sharp contrast with Trent Alexander-Arnold, the third Liverpool star with an expiring contract who is almost certain to leave for Real Madrid.

The club is optimistic about the two players staying, but the negotiations have not yet reached a breakthrough.

The report adds that Trent’s situation does not impact talks with the other two players, as their contract offers have been drafted based on individual contributions, data and circumstance.
